Wash-Out Water Tank Inspections

Here’s how the Utility Service washout and disinfectant inspection works:

  • You arrange for the tank to be drained.
  • We remove all sediments and contaminants.
  • We clean and disinfect the tank in accordance with AWWA C652, Standard for the Disinfection of Water Storage Facilities.

We then provide a detailed report, along with photographs of your tank’s interior,
that documents compliance to your state’s regulatory requirements.

This report will:

  • Assess your tank’s overall condition
  • Define shortcomings and provide recommendations for corrective actions

Bio-Film removal for a more thorough washout and disinfectant inspection
Utility Service offers a proven, patented and NSF certified technology that removes mineral buildup and bio-film that can form on the interior tank surfaces.

Done periodically, this enhanced cleaning provides
benefits beyond just a clean tank:

  • Reduced disinfectant costs
  • Retention of higher chlorine residuals
  • Minimized disinfectant by products (DBP)
  • Reduced nitrification
  • Enhances aesthetics
